Generally the Speaking section is considered the most difficult part of the PTE exam. This is because of the following reasons:

  • Time Pressure: You have only a few seconds to some minutes to understand the prompt and record your response.
  • Integrated Scoring: Poor performance in Speaking heavily damages your Reading and Listening scores as well.

According to review from several students, the single most difficult task in the Speaking section of the PTE exam for most test-takers is considered to be "Repeat Sentence", as it is a test of short-term memory and pronunciation under pressure.

The Odisha PG English entrance exam, known as CPET, focuses heavily on your undergraduate English Literature knowledge. The syllabus typically covers major authors, literary movements, and important texts from different periods in English and Indian literature. You'll also find questions on literary terms, various genres (fiction, drama, poetry, etc.), and literary criticism and theory. Additionally, there's usually a component on Indian Writing in English and awareness of current literary trends and awards. It truly tests a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Yes, one question type has been removed, and another has been replaced after the new change in the Duolingo English Test. The Read Aloud question type is being removed from the test to maintain the current test length. To maintain the test duration, updated Interactive Speaking will replace the Listen, Then Speak question type.
