There are many books by reputed publishers that cover all OET sub-tests. However, many OET preparation books focus on individual sub-tests, which offer more depth coverage of topics. If you can buy them, it's beneficial to use specialised books for the sub-tests, where you need more targeted practice.

Whether the OET test is hard or easy is very subjective. However, the OET test has been created to test applicants' understanding of the English language as medical professionals. So, if your medical concept is clear then this test is easy for you. All you need to do some practice be forw appearing in the test.

The eligibility for OET at home is same as other test formats under Occupational English Test (OET on Paper, OET on Computer at a venue). We have mentioned few of them here:

  • You must be a healthcare professional (or nearing completion of your qualification).
  • For Indian test-takers, a valid, original passport is mandatory.
  • There's no specific age restriction to take the test.
  • OET does not set a minimum English proficiency level to register for the test, but the test itself is designed for intermediate to advanced English users.
  • You don't need a job offer or university admission to be eligible to take the OET.
