Some universities accept a 6.5 in one section if your overall score is 7. But for competitive programs, you may need to retake the test and aim for 7 in all sections.

In most countries, yes. A Band 7 is often above the minimum visa requirement. But some visa types or universities may ask for a higher score in specific sections like Writing or Speaking.

Yes, Band 7 is a strong score and is accepted by most top universities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe. It shows a good level of English required for academics.

No, it's not easy to score 79 or above marks on the PTE Academic exam. A score of 79 on the PTE exam is equivalent to a CEFR C1-C2 level of English, or IELTS band score of 8.0-8.5. Scoring this high score requires advanced proficiency in all four skills - speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

A score of 79+ on the PTE exam simply places you in the top 10-15% of test-takers, globally. Scores, this high, are generally required for the Australian PR, highly skilled migration, or competitive university admissions.

There are two types of fees in the PTET counselling process: registration and college acceptance fees. Candidates must pay Rs. 5,000 for the successful counselling registration and Rs. 22,000 to confirm their allocated seat. The payment can be made both online and via e-Mitra.

No, the newly added changes to the PTE exam will not change the fees for Indian students. The PTE Academic  exam fees for Indian students in 2025 will continue to remain INR 18,000.
