Yes, Cornell requires students to submit an English language proficiency score. UG international students can submit IELTS / TOEFL / Duolingo test scores. For PG courses, students can submit IELTS / TOEFL scores. The minimum scores required for admission to Graduate courses can vary. The minimum test scores required for admission to UG courses are:

A good precise writing should follow the below guidelines to avoid errors:
- The sentence must be short and clear
- Use easy words which are easy to understand
- It should be written in own words
- It must be 1/3rd of the original text

Generally a precise writing in written in present tense only if the event has not ended. Also, precise must be written in reported or indirect speech i.e., in third person (he, she, it, they).

Duolingo English Test registration fee is USD 70 for one test in 2026. Also, you can pay USD 118 for a two-test package, which is USD 59 for each DET test.
You can take two tests and send the best result for university admission.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the B.Sc (Hons.)
