The BSEB Inter exams are conducted for different streams like Science, Commerce, and Arts. Each subject has both theory and practical parts (for applicable subjects). The theory paper is for 70 marks, depending on the subject, and the practical exam is usually for 30 marks. The total duration of each theory exam is 3 hours. Students must check the exam pattern before appearing for the exams.

Starting in 2025, ACT will be significantly shorter. It reduced test duration by about one-third. The Science section is becoming optional, meaning students can choose to skip it, and there will be fewer questions overall.

The BOPEE BSc nursing exam will be conducted in offline mode. The question paper will carry 180 objective-type questions of 1 mark each. There will be three sections in the exam, namely Physics (60), Chemistry (60), Biology (60). Each section will be of 60 marks. Candidates will be provided 180 minutes (i.e. 3 hours) to attempt the question paper solutions. This means 1 minute per question will be allotted to the aspirants.

The candidates can see below the BPSC 71st CCE Prelims Exam 2025 Pattern as mentioned in the official notification.
- There will be 150 questions in the BPSC 71st CCE Prelims exam.
- The candidates will be required to mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet provided by the Commission.
- There is a provision for negative marking in the BPSC 2025 prelims exam.
- Maximum Marks assigned to each question will 1 mark
- Negative Marking will be 1/3

The West Bengal Public Service Commission introduced an additional paper of General Studies II (Aptitude paper) in the WBCS prelims exam. Consequently, the Commission removed the aptitude section from the General Studies paper I and changed the weghtage of each section in the General Studies I as mentioned below:
