Food processing and technology engineering branch is a promising one. Unlike the core branches of engineering and other popular branches, food processing and technology is not very popular among students who have passed 12th science stream. But it is a good branch that offers decent opportunities and career prospects.
Candidate has to pass 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry, mathematics (PCM) or physics, chemistry, biology (medical stream) subjects for admission in Bachelor courses. You can also take admission through JEE Main entrance exam.

B.Tech in food technology or Bachelor of Technology in food technology is an undergraduate food technology course. Food technology is the application of food Science to the selection, preservation, processing, packaging, distribution, and use of safe, nutritious, and wholesome food. Bachelor of Food Technology degree teaches a combination of skills in food technology, management and marketing.

Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai offers admission in B.Tech in food engineering and technology
Admission is based through counselling based on rank obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).

As such, there is no specific qualification required for doing B.Tech in food technology.
One should have passed 10+2 board examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects. The percentage criteria could vary from college to college.
Many universities offer B.Sc course in this stream.
You need to check all the major universities and engineering colleges.
