Now a days, Online Education is the best option if you wish to finish your MBA .
As you are an IT Professional and might be working in rotational shift, so online MBA will definitely helpful for you to upgrade your knowledge. At the same time, you can gain the practical experience at work where you can actually implement what you have studied.

A full time MBA program does have an advantage over a part time MBA program. Sine you are currently employed it would be important for you to evaluate the risk reward ratio visa vis leaving your current job and pursuing a full time MBA.
Financial independence is also important. This depends on state to state University rules. Contact to your nearby Universities for migration rules or from shifting from correspondence to regular course.

I think you wish to ask whether you can do post graduation in regular mode since you have done your graduation in correspondence mode, my answer is yes. No university will stop you for applying for the same in regular mode if you have a graduation degree from UGC approved correspondence university. Just apply.

The chance of placement with full time MBA is definitely better but you need to ensure that you do it from a reputed B-school.
As you have mentioned that you have an experience of 5 years in IT, so if you are satisfied with the company you are in and need a qualification to get promoted to higher management levels within the organization, then you can also consider weekend batches.
But if you want to move to a new organization and are willing to invest 1 year, then you can choose full time MBA.
Hope this helps. You can choose a good B-school in your city and also find out the placement record of their previous batches.
