No, ISRO doesn't recruit through GATE. It has a centralised recruitment Board. If a candidate is looking for opportunities in ISRO, then he/she has to keep an eye on the job vacancies there. However, GATE preparation is enough for the ISRO examination.

IIIT Una is based on GATE scores followed by the GATE CCMT Counselling conducted for candidates seeking admission to M.Tech courses. Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal accepts GATE score, followed by CCMT Counselling process for M.Tech admission. As per the NIT Bhopal cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank ranged between 351 and 472, among which Geotechnical Engineering and Biotechnology were the most competitive specialisations with a last round closing rank of 351. No, candidates can not raise objections in the final answer key of GATE. The facility to raise objections is provided only in GATE provisional answer key. It is thus advised to candidates they raise the objections only in provisional answer key, in case having any objection.

The fees to challenge the GATE answer key is INR 500 per question. Candidates who wish to raise objections in the answer key of GATE have to pay the fees while they submit the challenge. The challenge fee is refunded in case the objection submitted by the candidates is correct.

The GATE exam is a computer-based test conducted for 30 subjects in different parts of India. The GATE examination lasts three years, comprising 65 questions for 100 marks. 

The GATE question paper 2026 comprises questions in the following format -

  • Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), one out of four options is correct

  • Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), where multiple options out of four are correct

  • Numerical Answers Type (NAT), where the answer must be keyed using a virtual keypad

As per the exam pattern of GATE, the exam is conducted online as a computer-based test. The exam will have a total of 65 questions from the candidates pre-selected paper. The questions will be Multiple Choice type, Numerical Ability type and Multiple Select (more than one option correct) type. 

Out of total 65 questions, 10 questions will be from General Aptitude and remaining 55 will be from the subject selected by the candidate. No, candidates will not be able to download the GATE 2025 scorecard after December 31, 2025. The scorecard was available for download from March 28 to May 31 free of cost. After May 31 till December 31, 2025, candidates will need to pay INR 500 for downloading the scorecard. It is thus advised that candidates download their GATE scorecard by May 31 and save/take print of the scorecard.

The GATE 2026 scorecard will be available for download from March 27 to May 31, 2026, for free. On the other hand, the scorecard will be available for download by paying a fee of INR 500 from June 1 to December 31, 2026.

Yes, candidates who appear in two GATE papers have to pay the fees of the two selected papers. Candidates will have to pay the fees at time of filling GATE 2024 application form. Candidates can select any two papers out of the allowed combinations as per their qualifying degree of examination.
