No, students need to have valid a GATE score to apply for Maharashtra MTech counselling. Also, if you are in your final year then also you can apply for MHTCET MTech. Allotment to seats in Maharashtra colleges will be based on the GATE scores. Therefore, plan to score good in GATE exam.

Regulations laid by the institution k G Somaiya Institute of engineering and information technology, a student in order to be eligible for taking admission in the institution must qualify and entrance exam which includes GATE or PERA CET for Masters of Technology (M. tech.) degree and its specialisation. That one should secure a significant rank in these exam in order to get admission. Process also includes interview which also includes marks weightage along with these entrance exams for the degree of M.Tech.

The Delhi Technological University holds entrance test for admission to the M.Tech course in Biotechnology. The eligibility to appear for the entrance test consists of:
- Candidate must be GATE qualified.
- Candidate must have scored 60% (General),50% (SC/ST), 55% (OBC) or equivalent CGPA in the previous university or college or institute.
Therefore, a candidate must provide his GATE score card before applying to the DTU admission test. The university does not provide any other way for providing admission to any applicant, rather than on the basis of their GATE score.

After completing a B.Tech, students can pursue a two-year postgraduate programme called M.Tech. The entrance exam that contributes to the highest number of M.Tech admissions is GATE. For M.Tech admissions, certain colleges, however, administer entry tests other than the GATE exam. Additionally, several states hold different entrance exams for M.Tech admittance to universities located inside their borders.

Homi Bhaba National Institute which is present in Mumbai, provides M.Tech in various domains such as electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering. Moreover, it depends on the difficulty level and the number of students giving that paper. Also, 86 percentile in Gate is a decent score but there are very less seats available for M.Tech at Homi Bhabha National Institute so it's very difficult to get admission to this university. As the previous year's cutoff went up to 93 percentile, but it also depends on the branch that you are choosing for M.Tech. Yes, GATE exam score is valid for admissions to M.Tech courses at Vellore Institute of Technology. Applicants can also apply through VITMEE exam score 2026. Candidates appearing through the GATE score must upload their scorecard at the time of filling the application form.

Indeed, with a 75 percentile in the GATE, you can acquire an M.Tech at the Central University of Punjab. GATE results are the main factor used by Central University of Punjab to determine admission to M.Tech degrees; the university also administers a counseling process to determine final admission.

Students trying to take admission in IIT Tirupati based on GATE score are likely applying for M.Tech programme. IIT Tirupati accepts applications for both GATE qualified and IIT graduates. GATE qualified candidates need to complete bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or maters's degree in Science in a suitable discipline as in the above table from Educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government to apply for MTech. Candidates with BTech degree from IITs with CGPA of 8.0 (7.5 for SC/ST) and above can also apply.

No, aspirants can take admission in M.Tech programme of SoET PDEU without GATE score also. The university accepts admission for non-GATE qualified candidates in Phase-II. However, the application process is common. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. The merit list for such aspirants are prepared based on PI performance. Candidate who has applied for more than one branch has to appear in personal interview for all the respective branches separately
