Dear Kaushik, you must apply for studienkollege through a portal called UNI ASSIST or directly to the universities. I will urge you to refer DAAD India website, you may email or call them or assistance in thos regards. Studienkollege is taken by students who do not meet eligibility to study in German universities.

Dear Rohan, Germany is the ideal and number one for mechanical engineering. Your grades are slightly less competitive for Germany hence I would recommend you take the GRE. Additionally knowledge of German language will really help.

Hello, you must meet eligibility requirements to study in either countries. To study in US you must take SAT. To study in Germany there is no requirement for SAT, you must excel in your academics and must complete 13 years education, that is after your 10+2 you must complete an additional year. Please visit UNI - ASSIST and DAAD India website for details.

Hi Vaidehi,
Education in Germany is free of cost. What they charge is a minimal semester fee mostly. Programs too are delivered both in English and German except the national universities. Please recheck with the eligibility and requirements before applying. You may also refer to this link-

Hi Sarang,
Irrespective of the program you wish to pursue in Germany you must have high academic standing. Also, the program you study in future must be related to your previous education. Kindly share your grades for better guidance.
