Another reason for choosing GIBS was the CPMP (Career & Personality Development Program), where they begin developing your communication skills; building your confidence and helping you prepare for interviews from the very first day.

Also, GIBS provides dual specialisation (so you can explore as many career options as you want) but their placement records and different recruiters across different industries are impressive, along with their personalized mentoring/support from faculty members; it was very attractive compared to other schools. Overall, you will leave GIBS with a well-rounded education, developed skills and plenty of learning and career prospects.

Admittance to any of GIBS Business School's PGDM/MBA programs is open to all students, and depending on which national-level examination (s) available for admissions you have taken (eg. CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT), your application will be evaluated. This provides you with flexibility in applying with multiple exam scores and will allow you to apply with your best overall score. Also, students with state-level or other approved management entrance exam scores will be considered, but if you have not taken one of the above mentioned entrance examinations, GIBS may administer its own examination or evaluate applicants based on their overall academic results, personal interview and group discussion.

Impacts of the MAT on GIBS Admissions Process

• GIBS accepts the MAT score as an eligibility criterion to gain entrance into the PGDM program, therefore if you are still interested in applying to GIBS you may do so by taking the May 2026 MAT. If you missed the February 2026 MAT, you can still use the results of your May 2026 MAT attempt to gain entrance into GIBS.

There are no branch-wise cutoffs at GIBS Business School, Bangalore for different specializations like Marketing, Finance, or HR. Admissions are done based on an overall eligibility and entrance exam score, not separate cutoffs for each branch. Once you get admission, the specialisation is usually chosen later based on your interest and performance.

GIBS cutoff overview:
