Time is preferred more by students. The city does not really matter. You can take classes in the city you are based.

Every exam has its own funcrional area. Atma is also an all india level test but a few good number of colleges take admission through it. CAT/MAT is the most popular mba entrance exam in india catering aspirants the top colleges of india. CAT is the only exam to get admission in IIMs. Many other top notches accept cat result. Gmat is mainly the entrance exam to go abroad fr management studies. All the best. Thank you.

Since you have no work experience, you cannot apply to MBA programs but you can apply for MIM programs. A good GMAT score can land you in a good college but make sure you score such that it compensates for you low GPA.

Dear Tajinder, since your graduation marks are on the lower side, a GMAT score of above 700 can only help you get through a good university.Good returns don't come with the university only, your skills and academic performance will also matter when an employer evaluates your profile. You may also try taking GRE, a score above 310 is acceptable.
Best Wishes

CAT and GMAT both contain Quant and verbal sections; cat has logical reasoning and data interpretation as an extra section. Although GMAT has data interpretation in form of Integrated reasoning (IR) section, score of this section is not counted in the total score but provided separately. Quant of Gmat is easier than Cat. Verbal of GMAT and cat too differs. So books for both differs.

UBC would be ambi for you as your acads could be a problem. Plus you need min three years of experience for MBA program. Try to target a few lower ranked (compared to UBC) universities as well. Hope this helps.
