Yes you can skip mathematics after your 10th class as per state board and you can skip mathematics after your class 12th as per NCERT and chose whatever domain you like.
There are so many domains which doesn't have mathematics as their subject like politics, environment, geography, history etc. but with economics maths is required, because as per my knowledge economics has lot of calculations.

In the UGC NET History subject, questions in the examination are asked from Ancient, Medieval and Modern History.
