No, entrance exam is not a mandatory criteria for Modern History course admission at colleges in India. Major of the popular Modern History colleges in India accpet admission based on merit, but some of the colleges may demand entrance exam scores for accepting admission.

The most common entrance exams for Modern History course are CUET UG, CUET PG, SUAT, etc. Students are advised to check the compleet admission criteria of the specific college before applying for the MOdern History course.

Yes, you can take any one subject from your stream that is chosen by you in Class 12. You can also change streams for graduation course in any subject which may vary college to college.

For Modern History course, you can choose History as your honors subject which will continue for 3-year duration. After compelting your graduation from History subject, you can choose Modern History in your further studies in Master's and PhD degree levels. 

The course curriculum and subject advancements may vary from college to college in India.

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU) was established in 1975 as Rohilkhand University. It was renamed in 1997 to honor the social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
