I would say both are different streams. You should first clear your thoughts regarding both the things. If your communication skills are good enough, then you can go for Mass Communication.

Yes, you can do Hotel Management from any stream. Social streams and commerce stream are more suitable for Hotel Management course due to the course structure. You can plan your preparation from now only to get an admission in best colleges of hotel management for better Job opportunities after the completion of course. Thanks.

The NCHMCT Entrance exam consist of the following sections –
1) Quantitative Ability
2) Reasoning
3) English
4) GK and Current affairs
5) Service aptitude
It doesn't matter that whether you have science, commerce or arts in 12th. NCHMCT JEE is an aptitude test and any student from any stream can crack it. Quants contain questions of 10th level only so don't worry about that and other sections are new to everyone. If you are determined you can easily crack the exam and get into top IHMs.
