Specialization in HR and Finance is completely different. First of all it depends on your interest level. HR is all about human resource where you will learn about employee relations, labor laws, training & development, recruitment etc. Where as in finance you will get to deal and handle the financial part. As mentioned by you that you are from humanities background, ideally you should opt for HR. But at the end it's all your decision as per your interest level so that after your education you can land up to that career where you can enjoy and love your work. Yes, you are eligible to do so. But there are drawbacks of it that you are not more related to your botany domain. You are considered in the management domain. So, if you are looking for MBA then you have to clear entrance exam. All the best for future.

Hi Vanish,
The admission procedure for admission in IGNOU for MBA is conducted twice in a year in November and May. You can go on university portal and download the prospectus and with that you will also get the admission form. You can also collect the form at the regional center or get it delivered to you from Delhi. *Fill the form 1, send the demand draft to IGNOU and do keep a copy of all the documents as it will help you in future. * In case you are selected then you have to use form 2 that you get along with the prospectus. Attest all your documents and send it to your regional center. Also you will have to send your programme fee
