Hello, I hope you are doing fine 

If you are pursuing your MSc in environmental sciences through distance education and looking forward to do PhD so congratulations you are eligible for PHD. 

You can enroll in PhD after completing a Masters degree through distance mode, provided that institution from which you obtained your degree is recognised and accredited. Most universities accept distance learning decrease for PhD admissions but specific requirements can vary by programme and institution.

St. Xavier's University has not yet commenced the application process for the MA courses. However, a tentative schedule was released by the university. As per the schedule, the application portal was expected to remain open from Feb to Jul 2025. Candidates interested in taking admission are advised to keep visiting the official website to stay updated.

SXUK MA eligibility criteria differ for all four specialisations offered under the MA programme. Check below to know the course-specific eligibility criteria:

  • MA in Economics: Passed a BA/BSc Honours/Major in Economics
  • MA in English: Completed a BA Honours/Major in English
