To get admission in BTech at Indian institute of Information Technology Surat, candidates must first qualify the JEE Main exam 2024. Candidates can follow the below mentioned instructions for 2024:
- IIIT Surat admission 2024 to its flagship programme BTech is based on candidate’s performance in the JEE Main exam. Therefore, candidates must register for JEE Main exam by visiting the exam’s official website.
- Candidates can register themselves for CSAB counselling. Through CSAB counselling the candidates can apply for vacant seats available in UG courses offered by the participating institutes. Refer to the CSAB Shiksha page

The highest package during 2025 placements was grabbed by BTech CSE students and the amount stood at INR 120 LPA. Earlier, the highest package offered during 2024 placements was INR 64 LPA. The table below depicts the branch-wise IIIT Surat highest package comparison for the past two years:

During 2024 placements, 50 out of 76 registered students were placed. This makes the placement rate nearly 66%. Earlier, 72 out of 103 registered students were placed during the 2023 drive. This means 70% of the batch was placed in 2023. The table below represents the total strength and the number of students placed over the past three years of IIIT Surat placements:

No, sadly, it is very difficulty for you to get into NITs or IIITs with 86.48 prcentile. Even if you are from OBC category, the said percentile is still less for getting into NITs or IIITs. The competition is too high that the cutoffs are exceeding 90s for such institutions.

The overall percentile required for the BTech programme iin IIIT Napur is around 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class 12 board examination. Admission to the BTech programme is based on candidates performance in the JEE Main exams. Also, participating in the JoSAA/CSAB couselling is required for the seat allottment.
