"IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
- The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
- The category of the candidate
- The number of seats available in the course
Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released."

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Chemical Science and Technology at IIT Guwahati other than General category were - 3473 for OBC, 1900 for SC, 862 for ST and 1234 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

In 2022, the cut off was 6144 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Chemical Engineering in IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in General category under All India quota, 12319 was the closing rank. The BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Mechanical Engineering was 5088 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were - 1033 for OBC, 592 for SC, 405 for ST & 430 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 7300 and closing rank was 7859. The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 15079 and 15280. Admission to BTech in Civil Engineering in IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIT Guwahati cutoff 2024 was released upto five rounds, wherein, B.Tech. in Biosciences and Bioengineering Last Round was, 9178 for General category candidates at IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 17156 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
Considering the Last Round rank for General AI category, it can be observed that BTech in Biosciences and Bioengineering had shown a fluctuating trend over the past three years.
