Talking about aerospace engineering in IIT-Kanpur. Everyone knows IIT-Kanpur is one of the best government colleges in India. The core companies that visit the campus prefer the dual degree or M.Tech students. Moreover, B.Tech. But it is not like that B.Tech students do not get placed or have no scope. Big companies like Eaton, GE, Airbus and Honeywell, visit the campus. Apart from these, companies like L&T and ISRO also visit the campus.

Before talking about the placements, let us know a bit about the branch as it is not a popular choice in engineering. Established in 2001, the relatively new Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) strives to implement a multidisciplinary research and teaching program in modern biology and bioengineering. The department allows undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate programs (M.Tech and Ph.D.). The branch is new whereas there are branches which are about 100 years old. For general category students, all those with 92 percentile and above were called for interviews and out which students have been selected on the basis of their cumulative scores for CAT and GD-PI.

Admission in B.Tech CSE at IITs is by appearing in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The upper age limit to be eligible for JEE Main is 25. Age limit is relaxed by five years for SC, ST, PwD candidates.
