The general documents required for IIT Palakkad admissions are as shown here:
- Phone number & email ID
- Academic details related to Class 12th and Class 10th Cleared exams
- Scanned copies of certificates of the category of students
- Scanned copies of the photograph and signature of students as per the specifications given by NTA
- Credit card/ Debit card/ UPI details for the fee payment of the application.
- Entrance Exam score card (JEE Mains, GATE, etc.)
While PG courses such as MTech, MSc, etc. also requires Graduation degree or marksheet.

The course fees for the BTech and M.Tech programmes at Institute of Technology Palakkad consists largely of tuition fees being:
- Around INR 1 Lakhs per semester for the 4-year BTech programme.
- While the M.Tech tuition fees are around INR 5K per semester for the 2-year programme.
Students may also have other extra charges such as examination fees, security deposit, etc.

Yes if your rank 540 you can secure seat in most engineering programs of IIT Palakkad.
Computer Science and Engineering: 6199
- Data Science and Engineering: The cutoff was around 8084.
- Electrical Engineering: The cutoff was about 9766.
- Civil Engineering: The cutoff was as high as 16487.

In 2025, the IIT Palakkad CSE cutoff was relatively less competitive for admission as compared to that of IIT Tirupati and IIT Goa for students belonging to the General AI quota. The CSE cutoff ranged between 4620 and 5034 for IIT Tirupati, while for IIT Goa, it ranged from 5626 to 6242. For IIT Palakkad, the cutoff ranks were between 5736 and 6454 for CSE admission in the General category.

for admission. In last round the cutoff rank closed at 6454. Therefore the probability of you getting CSE with a 6000 rank is high in last round only for admission. Please note that the cutoff ranks differ every year for each round. So it is advisable to target a rank lower than 6000 to improve your chances of admission. IIT Palakkad accepts the IIT JAM entrance exam for admission to the MSc course across different categories belonging to the AI quota. The cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and categories. Considering the IIT JAM last-round cutoff 2025, the closing ranks varied between 556 and 745 for the General AI category students. For students belonging to the OBC AI quota, a cutoff rank between 652 and 1185 is considered to be a safe rank for MSc admission at IIT Palakkad.
