The flagship course of IIT Patna is BTech. The four year BTech programme is offered in 11 specialisations. Admission to all BTech courses is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. Students also need to go through the counselling process conducted by JoSAA for final seat allotment. The eligibility criteria for admission is that students must have cleared their HSC/10+2 with minimum 75% aggregate. The total seat intake is 638.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 3313 and closing rank was 3577. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 1101 and 8220. Admission to B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in IIT Patna - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. IIT Patna cutoff 2023 ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering other than General category are mentioned below:
