IIT PATNA - A raising star.
Placements: 83.56% of students were placed in the batch of 2023 (placement still ongoing). In 2022 the placement percent was as high as 100%. The highest package was 82.05 Lacs per annum and the average package was 24.85 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are IT like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Meta. About 30% of students from our course get internships in IT companies. The top roles offered were data analyst and web development as most of the students do coding to get placed in IT sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent as being an IIT. Most of the labs are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi facilities. The classrooms and library also have Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity and are air-conditioned. The central lecture hall is amazing where the lectures take place. The hostel rooms and facilities provided are amazing at such a low cost of 12000 per year but there are very less washing machines available. The mess is good compared to other hostel foods outside IIT Patna. There is also a hospital exclusively for IIT Patna students and staff members. Sports facilities and grounds are marvellous here as compared to other IITs. Both outdoor and indoor games are available.
Faculty: The Professors are not as helpful as they expect us to match their pace as we have the title of cracking world's the toughest examination. But they are Ph.D. holders from the world's reputed institutes like old IITs and other foreign universities. The course and the curriculum are completely relevant if you are expecting a job in the core, but most of the student tries to be placed in IT jobs. The Semester exams are average as the students have cleared JEE Advanced so it's not that big deal to pass exams. About 80% of students pass every exam. I cho.
Other: I have chosen this course Because I have an interest in the Electrical and Electronics syllabus and the job opportunities in this sector will increase in the next four years in India. I wish that they could add programming to the course as I consider it a necessary skill to be known to every engineer.

Good placements but not so good infrastructure.
Placements: 85% of students get placed year from IIT Patna. The highest package is 82 Lacs and the average package is around 20 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are Google, Infosys, Adobe and more. Around 50 students get PPO this year. The placements are good.
Infrastructure: As it is a new IIT established in 2008 there is a lot of construction going on inside the campus. It is a beautiful campus in an area of 500 acres. There are three hostels for boys and two hostels for girls all hostels have a separate mess. The mess food is good. And the hostel rooms are also good. Wi-Fi facility is available in hostel rooms.
Faculty: The faculty members and professors are good mostly IIT graduates. They are ranked among the world's top 2% of faculty members. The curriculum is also good there are courses in the first year and you can change your branch in the first year if you wish so. The exams are moderate not so easy if you are a decent student you can easily score a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because want to be a software engineer. And IIT is the best college to pursue your B.Teach.

As it is IIT is the best college with good facilities present here.
Placements: Here hundred percent of placements are there in the electrical branch. The highest package is 1crore and the lowest package is 33 Lacs. The top companies coming here. There is 100% of internships are there in companies. Roles offered are coding companies.
Infrastructure: The Facilities are best here, Chemistry labs, mechanical labs and many more. The classrooms are big and there is nothing problem with the classrooms and Wi-Fi is present everywhere on campus. The library is present where all types of books are present we want.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and have no issues about teaching. The teachers are highly qualified and hardworking. The Teaching quality is also best here. The Course is also curriculum relevant and also makes interest in learning. The Semester exams are also not tough means if we study well then not too hard to deal with them.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in it. The best thing about the course is we can also try to take jobs in core companies and also in coding companies. There are many events fest are taken here also extracurricular activities there.

The college is very good.
Placements: The placement percentage is 82%. The highest package is 82 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 6 Lacs per annum and the average package is 23 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are, Bharat Electronics Limited, Intel, Mediatech, Qualcomm, and TI.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The Labs are well equipped with all the instruments. The Library has a number of books and a Wi-Fi facility. The Hostel is also good in cleanliness. But food in mess is not that much good. Hostel has Wi-Fi issues quite often.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and interactive. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. And the student-teacher ratio is also good. The Curriculum is also updated and interesting. The semester exams are quite hard and every 2-3 months. The Passing percentage is 40.
Other: I have an interest in electrical.

Placements are good, but infrastructure and mess food are bad.
Placements: The placements are good here. In my course, this year the median package of the CSE branch was close to 33LPA and last year the median was close to 40LPA which is one of the highest. The top engineering colleges in India. The percentage of students placed in CSE is always close to 100 I don't have the exact percentage but you don't have to worry about placements if you are a student of IIT Patna CSE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Patna is not that good. Because IIT Patna is a 2nd generation IIT the infrastructure should have been much better than it is right now the reason behind this is that the campus of IIT Patna was established in 2016 so it's still developing. The hostels are good at least the new ones. The mess food is the worst thing about this college. Wi-Fi facilities are okay. Sports facilities are good here you will find a lawn tennis court, football ground, cricket ground, table tennis, badminton court, squash court, and gym.
Faculty: Some of the professors are good at teaching but some are bad. You have to study most of the concepts on your own because most of those concepts won't be explained in detail in the classroom. You will be given assignments regularly and they will be discussed in tutorial regularly. Tutorial classes are much better than the lectures IMO.
Other: I chose my course because of placements. Events and fest are good.
