So well, good infrastructure, campus life, and facilities are provided to each student.

Placements: 90% of students are placed. The highest package is 1.17 crore, the lowest package is 8-10 LPA, and the average package is 23-26 LPA. Top companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and Wipro. 90% of students got internships. Software engineer roles are offered.

Infrastructure: Though IIT is a central government institution, facilities ranging from studying to various types of amenities are provided to students. Free Wi-Fi is given to students during class hours, and hostel facilities are excellent. The mess and canteen are fabulous and well-equipped with every kind of food item a student can eat according to his/her choice. Every kind of sports facility is available.

Faculty: Professors are helpful, well-educated, and extremely knowledgeable. Teacher quality is at an advanced level. The course curriculum is flexible and relevant for students. It makes students purely industry-ready. The difficulties of semester exams vary subject by subject, providing a mix of easy and difficult assessments. Pass percentage 94%.

Other: As I am more interested in building my career in software engineering, I chose this course. The best aspects of our course are coding, new skills, and new problems. There is a little bit less focus on math skills for students, so that needs improvement. Events like Anwesha and the DJ night are very enjoyable. The campus surroundings are spacious, with ample facilities for students, starting from daily life activities like running, walking, playing, cycling, etc.

Good academics and placement with supportive campus life

Placements: I am from the B.TECH computer science batch at IIT PATNA around 80% of students from our course were placed, with an average package of about 18 LPA and top recruiters like google,amazon,and microsoft.many student also received intership in software development and data-related roles, showing good placement oppertunites overall

Infrastructure: As a first year student ,I found the infrastructure of my course at IIT PATNA is good, with well-equipped classrooms, computer lab,wi-fi and central library.the hostels are clean with basic facilities,the mess food is also good,and sports,medical facilities are also available on campus

Faculty: As a 1st year student, I find the faculty helpful,well qualified ,and knowledgeable,with clear teaching and good support for beginners. the curriculum is relevant and builds strong fundamental,semester exams are moderate in difficulty,and the pass percentage is high for students who attends class regularly

Other: I choose this course from my interest and the best part is strong academics,supportive seniors,and technical events. I wish there were more industry exposure and hands on projects early on, but overall campus life,fests and extracurricular activities are good.

If you want to explore and have fun than its better to choose any old IITs.

Placements: Placement is pretty good almost all good companies come to college especially FAANG and over 90 percent got placed in CSE. The average package of my branch is about 24 LPA and last year, the highest package is about 80 LPA, while at the college, the highest package is about 1.3cr, which is given to a student of the AIDS branch.

Infrastructure: Labs are good but the instruments are old. Wi-Fi is available everywhere, including the hostel, academic building and lecture hall. The library is good and big but during exam time, it has a shortage of seats as all the students come and study overnight. There are not as many canteens and food stalls in comparison to old IITs that is a big problem and also Blinkit , Instamart, Zepto is not available only Jio smart is available but that not sufficient.

Faculty: All teachers are good, helpful, and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is also relevant and also makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are well managed, and arrangement is good. Exams are difficult depends on the professor, some professors give very hard paper and you have to grind very hard for that subject.

My college looks like heaven.

Placements: Good placement record, the highest placement offer is 60 lakh above. Approximately 99% students got placed in multiple companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, etc. Every company gives us a good infrastructure and environment when we join, and then we will learn more about the work.

Infrastructure: IIT Patna College's infrastructure is amazing, it looks like heaven. They have a big library, a big auditorium, and a garden area of 250 acres. The college looks like an angel. I love it, I like it, everything is amazing. Hostel infrastructure is good, mind-blowing, they have girls' and boys' separate hostel rooms.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good at behaviour. In terms of looks, their dressing sense is too good. Every faculty member has a polite nature. They always teach us in a good way, they always guide us, they have much more knowledge, they become so polite, they always clear our doubts.

The college is good for CSE and AI students.

Placements: Twenty-six third-year students joined Google as interns, and 5-6 third-year students joined Atlassian this year (2025). Overall, the placements are good this year, with the average B.Teach placement salary nearly 20 Lacs, and the CSE department's average is almost 25 Lakh

Infrastructure: All hostels at IIT Patna are excellent, but the third- and fourth-year boys' hostels are old. Each hostel has its own mess, and the food quality is decent—neither very good nor bad. The first-year students' hostel has two badminton courts inside. Other sports grounds are roughly 1 km away from the hostel area.

Faculty: All teachers are very helpful. All courses are relevant and it helps you to get placed in any industry ( according to your department). There is an absolute grading system so you have to score at least 40% marks in each exam (mid-semester, end-semester, lab exam).

Great infrastructure. Best professors. Good placements in 2023 and good Internships in 2024.

Placements: Our seniors got good placements in various companies like Amazon, Google, adobe and many more. Around 80% of our 4th year seniors had their campus placement. The highest package achieved this year was 88 lacs per annum, the average package offered is around 29 lacs per annum and the least is around 15 lacs per annum. Around 72% of students got internships in various companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Adobe. Some of our seniors have been placed as lead developers, data analyst and more.

Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure; a big auditorium and a central library are under construction. The central library, which is going on, is one of the biggest libraries in Asia. Good speed Wi-Fi is provided in all the blocks of the campus, including hostels, except in the central lecture hall. Labs are equipped with all the required equipment in good condition. We have a good WiFi facility in our hostel. Washing machines are available in all the hostels. Food is far better in our hostels when compared to many IITs. Even if there is a problem, if we complain about it, it will resolve as soon as possible. There will be good security on the campus.

Faculty: The professors are highly knowledgeable; they are very interactive with students. Professors are very friendly with the students and always listen to the students. The curriculum of IITP changes with market needs. Yes, I agree that this curriculum makes the students industry-ready.

Other: I chose this course due to my interest in the development of new things. Our course is the basic need of everything in this modern era. Anyone can easily learn it. In our course in the first year, we have many other courses like physics, electrical, engineering drawing, etc. which are not relevant to our main branch. So I think it's better to remove these subjects from our course. Our campus has very good fests. The biggest fests of IITP are Nebula (freshers party), Infinito (sports fest), Celesta (technical fest), and Anwesha (the biggest cultural management fest of IITP ). And there are several events conducted by different clubs throughout the year. There is a club for every extra circular activity that is open to everyone.

Satisfied with everything.

Placements: 100 percent placement in computer science engineering. The average package is 30 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Sprinklr, Atlassian, Accenture and many other top companies. More than half of the batch got internships in their 3rd year of college at these companies, and there they also had a chance to get PPO's.

Infrastructure: The new library is not yet open, but the building is getting ready for it. Wi-Fi facilities are there in coll as well as in hostel. Mess food was very fine when I was in my first year but now it is okay. Medical and sports facilities are awesome. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, and for sports students, Gymkhana is there.

Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified; almost everyone holds a Ph.D. degree from some of the top universities themselves. Course curriculum is very much relevant qccordi to the field chosen. Semester exams are not that hard or easy; the passing percentage is that you need to score more than 4 cpi .

Placements are good, but infrastructure and mess food are bad.

Placements: The placements are good here. In my course, this year the median package of the CSE branch was close to 33LPA and last year the median was close to 40LPA which is one of the highest. The top engineering colleges in India. The percentage of students placed in CSE is always close to 100 I don't have the exact percentage but you don't have to worry about placements if you are a student of IIT Patna CSE.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Patna is not that good. Because IIT Patna is a 2nd generation IIT the infrastructure should have been much better than it is right now the reason behind this is that the campus of IIT Patna was established in 2016 so it's still developing. The hostels are good at least the new ones. The mess food is the worst thing about this college. Wi-Fi facilities are okay. Sports facilities are good here you will find a lawn tennis court, football ground, cricket ground, table tennis, badminton court, squash court, and gym.

Faculty: Some of the professors are good at teaching but some are bad. You have to study most of the concepts on your own because most of those concepts won't be explained in detail in the classroom. You will be given assignments regularly and they will be discussed in tutorial regularly. Tutorial classes are much better than the lectures IMO.

Other: I chose my course because of placements. Events and fest are good.
