Generally, candidates should having a percentile between 85 to 95 for getting NIT seats. Here, we have given the previous year cutoff and percentile trends for NIT Admission for your reference. Students who score above the 95 percentile in the JEE Main exam or secure a rank below 60,000 may be eligible for admission to NIT'. However, competition is much tougher to secure a seat in top NITs, where students are required to rank under 25,000.

IITs are world-wide recognised as premier institutions of India. The institutes are recognised for offering world-class education. IITs are very competitive and only 1 or 2 % of the total applicants make it to the institute. Admission in IITs are very competitive. In 2025, more than 1.8 lakh (180,422 in total) students appeared for JEE Advanced and only 54,378 qualified it which clearly justifes the competitive admission process of IITs.
