Cambridge University and IIT are very well-known institutions worldwide and have their own strengths as well as weaknesses. According to the QS World University Rankings 2024, the University of Cambridge has claimed the spot #2 in Best Global Universities. Whereas, IIT Bombay ranks #149 in the same category. On the basis of world workings, Cambridge University has an upper hand.

No, you can't get a government college with an 849000 rank in JEE MAINS, especially for popular branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electrical Engineering (EE). You should try for private colleges. If you have any reservations, like if you belong to SC/ST category then you can look for some GFTIs.

IIT Bombay will release the question paper for the UCEED 2026 exam tentatively in the 4th week of January 2026. Typically, the question paper is released along side the draft answer key, a day or two after the conduct of the entrance exam. The candidate can download the question paper online. No log-in is required to download the question paper. Simply click on the question papers link; the question paper will open in downloadable pdf format. Download the question paper and also the answer key.

As per the latest report, the IIT Jammu CSE average package offered during the 2024 placement drive stood at INR 19 LPA. The branch-wise IIT Jammu average packages offered to BTech students between 2023 and 2024 are presented below:

Although in IITs, there are 2 seats reserved for defence personnel but for NITs, GFTIs, IIITs there is no quota for CAPF personnel. There are in total 10,006 seats across all IITs and Jee Advanced qualified total number of students were 26,456 amongst which CAPF sets were quite less but yes reserved.

IIT Bombay revised syllabus for the UCEED exam in the previous edition. As per the revised syllabus, the exam conducting released the part-wise topics that candidates needed to prepare for the exam. It also released some information related to the new exam pattern, for instance the Part B now includes two questions (instead of one), while the test duration for the part was increased to 60 minutes (from 30 minutes). IIT Bombay released the full details about the UCEED in its information brochure. Note that the information brochure was released on its official website.
