Eligibility criteria
- the candidate must have studied Physics Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2
- the candidate need to qualify in one of the national tests IIT-JEE (Main) or (Advance)/ NEET
- Minimum 70% aggregate are required.
- 10+2 should clear passed from recognised board.
- The admission are purely based on merit/counselling basis.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, it's a very tough query to answer. There are different reasons. Firstly it's an institution where research in basic Science is the motto. This makes it unfit for normal recruiters. Secondly even students do not want to get placed not only after graduation but even after PG as almost every student opts for PhD. This results in very skewed ratio of just handful of students out of more than 100 getting placed.
Frankly speaking, no one joins this place for getting job after undergraduate postgraduate or doctoral studies. Research oriented work is preferable to students. Hence many get opportunities to even work abr

Hello Nishar Ahmed, admissions to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research can be taken via any of the three routes, by appearing for JEE advanced examination or KVPY or through the admission test conducted by this Institute itself. You can definitely get admission in this Institute since you have scored 70% in your 12th standard while eligibility criteria for general category students is kept at 60%. Of course with 70% you cannot take JEE advanced since there the eligibility is at 75%. But you can follow the path of entrance exam conducted by this Institute. Jee advanced Cutoff for admission in IISER Mohali - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research for integrated BS-MS course is 14500th rank for general category and 9100 rank in OBC NCL category. Its 3600 rank for SC category and 5200 rank for Genral-Ews category cut off for IISER Mohali.
kvpy cutoff rank is around 1433, iat cut off rank is around 2279.

Yes, it is possible to join IISER Mohali - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research without JEE. The eligibility criteria for admission to the BS (four-year) degree program at IISER Mohali:
Candidates who have qualified Class XII (or equivalent) examination in science stream either in the year 2022 or 2023 can apply to the BS (four-year) degree program.
Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.
Candidates seeking admission under the State and Central Boards (SCB) channel do not have to appear for IAT-2023.
