Candidates, who are desirous to join B.Tech program in IIST must appear for Joint Entrance Examination Main conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced, which is conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category wise marks in JEE Advanced.

IIST is the third best option to pursue aerospace engineering after IITs and PEC University - Chandigarh. There is no fee in IIST and ISRO will offer you job of scientific officer subject to availability of vacancies on completion of B.Tech.

Admission at both is based on JEE Mains and the seats at IIST are just 20. Take a look at for all requirements

You can try for IISER/ NISER for an integrated degree.

Admission to IIST is based on JEE Mains. You are advised to appear for JEE as it will open opportunities for you to seek admission in aeronautical or aerospace engineering in multiple colleges beside IIST.

If your are B.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics, CSE, Metallurgy, Aeronautical Engineering or M.Sc Physics, Chemistry from IIT you have a very chance of getting a good job with ISRO.
