Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space Science, located at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is the first university in Asia to be solely dedicated to the study and research of Outer space. I hope it helps.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses:
Only Indian citizens are eligible to take admission in UG courses offered at IIST. Candidates meet IIST admission eligibility criteria, if they have secured minimum 75% aggregate marks in their Class 12th Board exams or equivalent examination. Age Limit: General and OBC category candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible for admission whereas SC/ST/PwD category candidates meet IIST eligibility criteria if they are born on or after October 1, 1987. Hello Akula,
Indian Institute of space Technology is sponsored by ISRO and is considered as the premium Institute as far as Aerospace teaching and learning is concerned. The institute has a good reputation for placements, however the job opportunities for Aeronautical or Aerospace engineers is rather limited in India. ISRO or DRDO or armed forces do employ Aeronautical or Aerospace engineers but only the first two employ them in their Core area of knowledge. Hi,
Yes, you need to pay Rs. 48,400 per semester, this includes tuition fee, exam fee, hostel charges etc. But, if you are achieving CGPA of 7.5 and above, this fee is refundable in full of amount. Further, CGPA below 6.5 and up to 5.5 are also eligible for refund of Rs. 20,000.

Hi Jay,
As per IIST Admission Norms, you need to have at least 5% in Jee Advance exam. Hence only JEE mains would not be sufficient. Detailed procedure you can get on the website.

You have to give JEE mains and advance exams. If you will score more than cut off and nearly merit list, then you are able to choose B. Tech in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.
