IIT Bombay is among the top design colleges in the country. So, most candidates appearing in the UCEED exam will want to know about the category-wise seat matrix at the institute:
Open category - 15 seats
EWS - 3 seats
OBC-NCL - 10 seats
SC - 5 seats
ST - 2 seats
ST-PwD - 1 seat
Note that candidates belonging to open category will not be considered for admission under other categories. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be considered for admission under open category.

No, a qualifying exam doesn't ensure admission to a particular institute. For admission to a certain institute, candidates have to score above the qualifying cutoff and appear for the counselling and admission process. The GATE cutoff for IIT varies according to the category of the candidates. It is to be noted that admission to IIT is based on factors including the cutoffs of the institute and branch in which admission is desired. Therefore, we can say that there is no minimum GATE score for IIT. The Indian Institutes of Technology Kanpur released the GATE 2023 cutoff for all 29 papers along with the GATE 2023 result. IIT Bombay officially released the CEED cutoff 2023 for Part A on February 9 on its official site at CEED. Iitb. AC. In. CEED 2023 cutoff was released in the form of mean and standard deviation. The mean deviation of Part A stood at 22.59, while the standard deviation was at 11.82. As per the CEED cutoff 2023, the qualifying marks will be 24.58 for OPEN category candidates, 22.12 marks for OBC/ EWS, and 12.29 marks for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates.
