Compared to IIT Delhi (IITD), IIT Bombay (IITB) has a better campus and is situated in a more esteemed neighbourhood. While Powai and Hauz Khas are both affluent neighbourhoods, Powai is distinguished by its superior quality. IITB and IITD have comparable research scopes, however IITB has an advantage due to its higher number of publications and patents. QS states that IITB has a superior "Employer Reputation." IIT Bombay admission 2024 is totally based on both merit and entrance exams. IITB accepts national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE for Advanced, and GATE for admission to specific courses. IIT Bombay offers over 86 courses at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (PhD) levels in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Science and Management.

Yes IIT Bombay has B.DeS programme for its students. The tuition fees for which is INR 8,00,000. Placement record has a great percentage of 85.75 percent. The median package offered after the course is somewhere between INR 15 to INR 17 lacs per annum.
