The eligibility for taking admission in St. Joseph's college is:

2. Candidates who are from non-science stream should have studied any of the following subjects at the +2 level: Mathematics, Computer Science or Electronics.

Both are same branches. The difference is- in IT, you have to deal with codes and operating system and in CS with codes and operating system and hardware.

There are many colleges in Bangalore which give admission in BCA even if you have not taken computer science or math in 12th.
