Please don't lose your hope. Your son scored good marks. Please think about that students who are getting negative mark in JEE so don't worry. Appreciate your son because he was try to do hard work most of the students does nothing. 40 marks are sufficient for taking admission in good colleges you because you are under SC category. So, be careful. God bless you.

On basis of these marks, you can apply directly in any private college. And in the some of the state, you can fill up the counselling form through which you will get college according to your 12th percentage and JEE Mains marks. Just like there is an Counselling process in Rajasthan I.e. REAP through which you will get a college all over the Rajasthan according to the rank or your marks. Similarly, Every state do have same type of counselling processes for the admissions. Hurry up.
Thanks. Keep asking and keep smiling
Be kind.

No, you can't get NIT or DTU with a score of 45 as for DTU or NIT 150+ score assured you a seat in NIT or DTU. But on 45 score, it is very difficult even in spot-round also.

There is no home state quota for DAIICT. The seats in DAIICT are allocated as follows for the B.Tech course:
Out of the 300 seats, 150 seats are allocated through the state counselling process called ACPC and rest through All India Quota and NRI quota (~ 5%) for which a rank list is prepared based on the JEE Mains rank list which according to past trends lies around 15000.
