JEE Main Percentile is calculated to compare marks among candidates. To be more specific, percentile the number below which a certain percentage of scores or observations fall. For example, consider the candidate's mark is calculated as 80 percentile. This means 80 percent of candidates scored below this candidate.

There is a wide variety of courses that is available across different NIT of India. If you score reasonably well in JEE Mains then you can get any of these courses or branches for studies. Aeronautical branch is only in IIT's and if you want that then you'll have appeared for JEE Advanced also. Some state governments have assigned JEE Mains as the CET examination of the state and you can get admission in your college of the state in case your state also has assigned JEE Mains as the common entrance test.
