Hi Rohith,
You need to score 90 percentile and above for admission to NITs in general category. But if you wish to do engineering in streams such as CSE, mechanical, IT then you must score a little high than this percentile to get admission in NIT. Good luck.

It will not be easy to get DTU at 92 percentile for CSE branch. You can also compromise on branch there as it is a better choice rather than some NITs.
Apply for some other universities also if it doesn't go good.
All the best

Chances of getting NIT is very low.
For IIT you have to fill the application form of IIT-JEE, and also you have to score good marks in the entrance exam.
Best regards.

Hello Aditya,
First of all, I will like to know as to from where you got your rank in JEE Mains. National testing authority is likely to publish the results combining the two sets of examinations by end of this month and then only the students will come to know their ranking in the examination. Anyway if this is only a theoretical question then also merely by knowing rank in general category there is no way anybody can guess the rank in OBC or any other category. Only the examination conducting authority will be knowledgeable of all the parameters and information and they will be announcing ranking in general and under different catego

The NIT, Patna cutoff of JEE Main 2019 will include the opening and closing ranks for different programmes which are offered by the institute. Now as you are from Uttar Pradesh, which means you approaching from different state, so for CS branch it's not easy and it's all upto 2019 cut off.

2019 will be the first time JEE Main results would be declared in terms of percentile, so there is absolutely no data to predict what percentile you would require to get into a good NIT. You could still get an idea about how much you need to score in terms of marks, which will be pretty much as same previous years:about 210+ for top branch in top NITs, 180+ for other branches in top NITs, 150+ for other NITs.

The minimum percentage for a student to get admission in NIT is 95 in this percentile. There are also chances that you will get your desired branch.
