No, once you have locked your choices you would not be able to change them. However, you have the option of freeze, float and slide once you get any seat in any round. (A) Freeze: Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that they are content with the allocated academic programme and that they do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission. and compare your AIR with the previous year's cut-offs of your HOMESTATE NIT first then other NITs. Also, take care of the important dates of counselling!

I can't tell the score that you have to get in Mains as it varies every year. But you have to get a rank at least about 10k in JEE Mains to get into aerospace engineering. Then, you will be in the super-safe zone. Up to 15k, you can have a moderate chance.
