There are many good options available at 85.6 percentile in the JEE Mains exam. You should definitely apply for AKTU councelling at this percentile and you can get good colleges like AKG Ghaziabad, ABES Engineering College, GL Bajaj Engineering College, NIET etc. at this percentile.

You can also try to prepare for one more attempt and get even better percentile.

Getting admission into the Panjab University BTech course with a JEE Main rank of 100000 can be difficult. As per the Panjab University BTech cutoff 2024, the closing round JEE Main rank for BTech courses ranged from 67216 to 112216. The cutoff to get admission in earlier rounds was lower.

Candidates preparing for Adani University – Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology (AU-FEST) are only required to appear for the JEE Main entrance exam. IPU CET (BTech) follows an NCERT-based syllabus covering Class 11 and 12 topics, whereas JEE Main includes NCERT concepts along with advanced topics. The question type in IPU CET is mostly conceptual and application-based, while JEE Main requires more analytical and problem-solving skills. In terms of difficulty level, IPU CET is considered moderate, whereas JEE Main is significantly more challenging.
