If you become an IIT Graduate, you will get great respect. IITs have high quality classrooms, laboratories, computer centre, Wi-Fi enabled campus. The top benefit is job security. Faculty members are highly qualified and really supportive. Great infrastructure and a lot of extra-curriculum activities. The biggest benefit is that top companies and market giants like ONGC, Google, Microsoft, TCS, Asus, Snapdeals recruit the IITians.

Sri, For OBC- NCL the min. Marks required are 45 & max. Marks are 73. So you are qualified. But I would suggest you not to join any private engineering colleges from this rank. Better you join B.Sc. Degree in any college. Nowadays it is easy to join B.Tech as there are plenty of low quality private engineering colleges. But if you look at present condition, then you will see that most of student from these colleges remain unemployed. So wake up and don't be trapped in these colleges, better you join B.Sc. Degree or something else you like and if engineering is your only dream then drop one year and prepare for JEE with full devotion. N

There are various options for you if you want to pursue a career in research like IIST IIS, and NIS. But to get into that you'll have to appear in their respective exams (except for IIST which needs KVPY, JEE-main or advance). But as per your marks, you are not going to get any college so better prepare for one more year and give it another try.
All the best!
