Hello Vishal,
If you just happen to score more than cutoff off, it will not get you anywhere. Cut off is only to restrict number of students who can appear for JEE Advanced. For getting into NIT and good NIT, you need to score percentile of at least 75 in JEE Mains.

Hello Sai Maharshi,
6 months is really a good time to crack JEE Mains with a great score if spent in the right and planned way.
First, you need to have a clear idea in the concepts of PCM. Then you need to practice to improve your speed and accuracy in calculations
After completing your learning process, you need to give as many mock tests as possible because they make you feel like giving a real exam so that you can make yourself ready to face the exam.
For advanced, you need to spend a lot of time.
All the best!

Hello Manish,
It's nice to see your preparation efforts. It will of course help greatly to study previous year's question papers. But IIT's are famous for setting unique question papers & next year quantum of MCQ is going to be reduced! Please make max efforts to understand concepts & using these to solve questions.
Best wishes

Hello Abhishek,
Yes, you can. There are 3 attempts for JEE Mains and 2 for JEE Advanced in the consecutive years.
So you can give JEE Mains in 2018 and if you get any NIT, you need to discontinue from the current Institute.
All the best!

The course starts every year with the beginning of 3rd quarter of July. Yes, you have to appear both in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced to get the admission in IIT. The rules are pretty much same for the foreign nationals. If you have further doubts, you can visit the website of any of the IITs or email to JEE Advanced office and they surely try to clear the ambiguity.
