First, I would like you to be more positive. Why expect less than 50%? JEE Mains can give you admission in NITs or CFTIs and it is basically for IITs. Ranking depends to a great extent on your performance in the exam and to a limited extent on the scores of other students. Better the rank, better the institute you will get.

Yes, you can. Don't be afraid. Kindly fill the forms that I have asked you in the previous question. Many private colleges conduct their own entrance exams, so you can opt for the same.
