You have good marks but very less in JEE Mains. However, in Tamil Nadu, admissions are based on the entrance exam conducted by state government.

You have to score minimum of 75% in 12th. To get into a good NIT, you should aim to score at least 275+ marks in JEE Mains. This perhaps will get you the branch you wanted.

Solved question papers of previous years are available in the market as well as can be downloaded from many sites. But remember to get your answers evaluated by teacher.

JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are the only entrance examinations for admission into any government college for engineering.
