Both online and offline JEE are similar. If you are computer savvy, you may prefer online exam over offline else you may opt for offline.

This year, it will be very hard to say about the results of JEE Mains but if you want to take admission in an IIT, you will need to get a score of nearly 300 and more.

Hi Abdul,
You should apply for JEE exam with your own category because the category you will fill in the application will carry for your whole life. If you crack JEE and got a seat in any IIT or NIT, then your category will be same as you kept in the application form at the time of entrance examination. So, think about it and take a wise decision.
All the best.

For the preparation of JEE Mains and other examinations conducted by CBSE, you need to be very thorough with the syllabus of NCERT of standard 11th and 12th. Apart from that, you also need to solve a good number of MCQs from a standard book.
