Hello there,
First of all congrats on your achievement. You will surely get mechanical engineering from good NITs. Now to answer your question let me put this straight that initial average income of Mechanical engineers is around 6-7 lacs per annum but with time and experience it reaches to around 15-20 lacs per annum which is a fairly good salary.

Yes its possible that you get admission in our college on the basis of JEE-mains but branch will be EI or IT.

where do you live? I mean in these cases , domicile helps a lot for getting a good college. You can try for dwarahaat in uttrakhand. One of my friend with the same scoreand 85% in 12th boards got that college the last year. Also it's a govt. college .
