If you are from General category apply for private institutions but if you have reservation go for any NIT! Even IIT's are waiting in that scenario!
Feel free to contact!

You have cleared JEE Mains with the given rank, no matter what your category is! But To be honest that has no role to play in your JoSSA counselling since getting any college is very difficult with your mains score until you do exceptionally well in your board exams! With the given rank private colleges have their doors open for you! ignore this if you have reservation!
ALL THE BEST!

I believe JEE score is not the only criteria but your board score also is considered. But if your board score is descent, I believe you may get into branches like civil, metallurgy, mining, etc. Of course this varies if you are from minority quota. Try your best. Otherwise other colleges are also there where you can easily get more desired branches like ECE, EEE, IT etc. You may try for that also.
