Dear Niraj Kunwar,
JEE Mains score based on Category. Like as:
Minimum Marks compulsory in JEE for:
GEN: 100
OBC: 70
SC: 52
ST: 48
Now you may see your eligibility.
Best of Luck.

Go for NATA if you think you can easily crack it, else drop the year.

If you belong to ST or SC category, then you will surely get an NIT during counselling. If you belong to OBC category then you may or may not get an NIT. General category cannot get into NITs with this score.

Taking one extra year generally does no good. If you have any chance in KIIT, then go for it. Never try to look back. If you wait one extra year to pursue JEE, you will be bored and most probably start hating studies. Just go ahead but be amongst the best.
All the best.

If you belong to any of the reserved category, you are very soon getting into an NIT. But if you belong to general category, you may or may not get any of the NITs.

Your mains score is low, even with your reservation it will be difficult for you to secure a seat for mechanical engineering. You can look at alternate branches like ICE and Production
