Joint entrance examination (JEE) is an entrance exam for seeking admissions in IIT's , NIT's, and various other reputed colleges. One can also give other entrance examinations like:
UPSEE,
TNEA,
SRMEEE,
MT-CET,
COMEDK,
KCET,
EAMCET,
MPPEPT,
KEAM,
GPET,
BITSAT etc.
JEE Mains and Advance:
If you are planning to do architecture, then you can apply for JEE Main (paper 2) which is conducted for B. Arch only.
As for JEE Advance is considered, it is conducted for admissions to IIT's for B.Tech programs and not B. Arch.
For pursuing B.Arch from IIT's, you need to crack JEE Main (Paper2) and then appear for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT

JEE(Main) is only for admission to undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments which accept JEE(Main) score for admission in engineering colleges in their state like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland etc.
There are also some other engineering entrance examinations in India:
UPSEE,
ASSAM CEE
BITSAT
COMEDK UGET
SRMEEE
VITEEE
MANIPAL UGET
KCET,
EAMCET etc.
After clearing above exam , you also have chance to get good government/private engineering colleges.
