Hello, Reservation in admission or quota for different categories of students is mandated by law for or government colleges or government-aided colleges. However, this is not mandated for private establishments not taking any aid from the government. Hence if you are thinking of seeking admission in a government or government-aided college then you should use your category rank for getting admission in that particular category.
