Hello Yukta, I can totally sympathise with you. I understand your angst and desires. Frankly speaking, best course is to talk directly with your mom & dad and explain to them desires. I will give you some ammunition. As per data of HRD ministry, 50% of fresh engineering graduates remain jobless. So what big fun in doing engineering. For the academic year 2017-18, engineering has been displaced by Science as preference for graduation. There are enough opportunities of a job for the experts of english language. You can learn a language course along with schooling but it's not a great idea to go for a job just after you 12th. To get good packages I would suggest you complete your graduation and thereafter you can go for options like a translator or interpreter.

As the French language is the official language of the Olympic Committee, NATO and also for United Nations, it is one of the most spoken languages in the world. And, is also most researched in the world. As it is relatively easy to learn than other most spoken languages, you can work in sales, the foreign relation in multinational companies. Also, you can be a teacher of French or a Translator. So, French do have scope in all the sectors.
