Getting low marks is okay, provided you take corrective action of studying sincerely and purposefully. Yes, you can take admission in MA, but please study regularly and intelligently.

I always recommend aspiring psychologists to pursue regular course in psychology because psychology as a discipline involves learning from environment. Only studying from books will not help you much. You have to attend professor lectures, attend seminars/workshops, network people who are actually into this field (PhD Students, Research Scholar, seniors and Experts). You get this exposure only when you are enrolled in a regular psychology course.

The University offers PG programmes in various disciplines leading to MA, M.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., MSW, MCA, LLM, MMR, MHM, MDS, M.Arch, M.Com, M.Ed., and M.Pharm at PG level. Minimum eligibility for PG courses is candidates must pass in Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline from recognized university.

Gauhati University offers postgraduate courses like MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed & LL.M in various disciplines. Graduation in the relevant field is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Admission to all the courses is granted on the basis of candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and an entrance test conducted by the university.
