It's quite a off beat query that you are asking. Normally speaking one and half times the normally required time is given for regular students to complete any course. So it's three years for M.A. But as it's short duration it would be four years. But university holds the discretion to extend it in some cases. So, don't worry.

You have not mentioned about your intended college or university where you intend to take admission. Okay. Normally speaking, the syllabus covered in B.A. In the concerned subject would be the syllabus for entrance exam for M.A. Hence whatever books you have referred to in your graduation are actually good enough to crack entrance exam.
